Between February 28 - March 1, under the auspicious year of the pastoral care of parents and children, a family camp was held in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Quebec. Priests and families from the provinces of Quebec and Ontario joined His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian at the event.
The program included different religious, artistic and sporting activities: catechesis, discussions - workshop on the parent-child relationship and on the most appropriate manner for transmitting the faith to the youngest, religious songs, participation in Divine Liturgy (Saturday and Sunday) and at other prayers, Christian film projection, egg painting workshop, piano recital, sledging, hockey, camp fire, etc.
A festive agape meal on the occasion of the feast of St. John Cassian, one of the protectors of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada, took place on Saturday evening.
Participants in this camp, younger or older, had the opportunity to get to know each other better, to discuss on the basis of their ecclesial experience in the parishes they belong to, to share their difficulties and the achievements within the wider framework of the Canadian society.
