St. Maximus the Confessor

The Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada continues the series of introductory catechetical courses in the biblical-theological field, in the history, spirituality and worship of the Orthodox Church. 

They will take place online on the Zoom platform every Tuesday (with a few exceptions) from 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm ET between October 8, 2024 and March 25, 2025.

The proposed topics are as follows: 

• Orthodoxy and Scripture - Fr. Dragoș Giulea, PhD
• History of Christianity from the Ecumenical Councils to the Reformation - Protos. Maxim Morariu, PhD
• Catechetical introduction to the theology, spirituality and worship of the Orthodox Church - Adriana Bara, PhD and Fr. Dragoș Giulea, PhD (in English)

A new proposal is the series of conferences (Sunday afternoon / evening – schedule to be defined):

• Romanian saints – martyrs and confessors (their life and theology)
