ROYA celebrated its Saint Protector
On November 25th, 2023, the youth from ROYA Canada celebrated Saint Great Martyr Catherine, their saint protector. With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop and Metropolitan Nicolae and His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian, the youth from every parish in the United States and Canada came together to pray.
In some of the parishes the Akathist of the Saint was read. Also, at 18 EST, some of the young Canadians gathered on zoom to read the Akathist of the Saint together. Along with them was Father Maxim Morariu. Thus, together with the young people from the Diocesan Cathedral "Saint George the Great Martyr and the Holy Martyrs Epictetus and Astion", gathered in presence there, prayed the youth from Toronto, Blainville, Gatineau, Anjou and Timmins. At the request of His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian, throughout the Canadian Diocese (parishes and Mono Monastery) special prayers were made for the ROYA and all youth in the world.
It is with great joy that the Romanian Orthodox Canadian youth managed, despite the distance, to be together in prayer in one way or another. We thank His Grace Ioan Casian for his blessing and support!
