Mother's Day is actually every day of the year and of life when we look at the holy icon of the Mother of God, the absolute model of motherhood, faith and devotion.

With great gratitude we remember our mothers and grandmothers, the educators, religion teachers who discreetly and fully instilled in children and young people faith in Christ, the Crucified and Risen One.

You are the ones who give life to life, you are the ones who follow the model of the absolute Christian mother who always comforts and defends us as the mother of us all and the Mother of Christ, the Holy Virgin Mary.

Christian mothers, women and grandmothers bring to the world and society the Christian love that dares to confess the ancient faith, the flame of love that watches over, directs, educates, and comforts every wound.

Their testimonies and the gifts planted in the hearts of children and grandchildren transform them into chosen vessels and angelic trumpets that announce and plant the joy that gives life, the pure love that brings light and hope. And here in Canada we encounter faithful and sacrificial women in universities, churches, and schools, in industry, in hospitals and nursing homes, Christian women who have as their only goal: Christ! Shared to all.

Heavenly blessing to all mothers, grandmothers, and Christian women whom we thank for their sacrifice and care. We carry them in our hearts and prayers and wish them health and salvation, peace and holy joy for many blessed years!
