The 32nd Sunday after Pentecost at the Episcopal Cathedral "St. Great Martyr George" from Saint-Hubert, QC

The 32nd Sunday after Pentecost was marked at the Episcopal Cathedral "Saint George the Great Martyr" in Saint-Hubert, Quebec, with the celebration of Matins and Divine Liturgy. The events were presided over by His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian. At the end of the service, the hierarch pronounced a sermon where he spoke about Zacchaeus and how, through this episode, God can change people through His kindness:

"One thing that is important to remember: the moment we show love to our neighbor, we give that person a chance to change, as the Savior Christ did with Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus rejoices in the attention offered by Christ and the invitation that the Savior extends to him in his own home. The Lord invites himself under his roof because he knew that this man would change to the extent that God shows him His goodness".

The hierarch also spoke about the actuality of the message and the content of the pericope and urged the faithful to cultivate love for their neighbor and not to be like the crowd that grumbles when Christ decides to visit the tax-collector of Jericho, to also reach benefit from the change that he also benefited from. Praise be the Lord for everything!
