The eleventh Sunday after the Pentecost at the Episcopal Cathedral "Saint George the Great Martyr" in Saint-Hubert, Quebec
The eleventh Sunday after Pentecost was marked at the Episcopal Cathedral "Saint George the Great Martyr" in Saint-Hubert, Quebec by the presence of His Grace Ioan Casian who celebrated the Divine Liturgy accompanied by a group of priests. His Grace had along him the protos. Dr. Maxim Morariu eclesiarh of the cathedral, Fr. Adrian Manea and Fr. George Drăgan.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the hierarch of the Romanians in the Canadian lands also celebrated the Te-Deum religious service for the beginning of the school year, blessing the young people present and asking God to grant them wisdom, spiritual growth and worthy fruits that reflect Christian life.
In the sermon, the bishop spoke about the importance of forgiveness and its reciprocity. He also emphasized that forgiveness must be accompanied by repentance:
"Where exist forgiveness, there exist repentance, everything is simple. The way to our neighbor is connected with the word "forgive me". There is no justification, no 'because', no apologies, just 'I'm sorry'. It is an extremely simple formula. They are three words, the simplest. They ease the conscience of each of us and repair the relationships between us. No matter how hard we try to fix things otherwise, we won't be able to. Forgiveness is what fixes things. That is why it is so important. The Savior shows us this in today's parable," the hierarch emphasized.
The event took place in the presence of many faithful and young adults. Praised be the Lord for all!
