The feast of the Cathedrale Diocesaine "Holy Great Martyr George" in Saint-Hubert, Quebec
The second day of Easter coincided this year with the Feast of the „Holy Great Martyr George”, the bearer of victory, who is also the protector of the Cathedrale Diocesaine of Saint-Hubert. In this context, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian, surrounded by other priests. The event was attended by many believers from Saint-Hubert, Montreal and the surrounding area.
In his sermon, the first Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Canada spoke about the anthropological relevance of the Resurrection. From this perspective, the hierarch analyzed the fall and the moving away of man from God, the conflict situations that have their repetitiveness in history and also spoke about the courage of confession, evoking the martyrdom of the Holy Protector of the Cathedral. Glory to the Lord for all His blessings!
