Peace Day with a Romanian flavor
in Timmins
This is a new project in the Northern city, Timmins! This project depicts a collection of wooden pillars painted by members of various ethnic immigrant communities. It is placed in the Peace Park in Schumacher, Timmins on the International Peace Day.
“For the painting of the Romanian pillar, our community designated a talented group of Romanians who blessed it both literally (through the presence of Father Orlando Geonea) and figuratively (through the skill, talent and patience of three Romanians). Encouraged by Mrs. Liliana Mohanty, we managed to stand out with our beautiful country and culture. Sandra Geonea, Cristina and Ava Miller and Father Stelian Orlando contributed to this project” said one the participants.
The project was launched Tuesday begins at 12:15 pm.
